Gray Things is the experimental pop project of Mississippi based artist Thomas Cooper.

Driven by a restless, ever-morphing musical identity that incorporates elements of cold wave, post-punk, synth pop and noise, his latest release builds on the foundations of mechanic drum machines, otherworldly synthesizers and warped, layered vocals to form three distinct and sonically individualistic tracks anchored by an overarching vision of surreal pop and a unifying emotional resonance of claustrophobic, post-millennial unease.

Kicking off with the slyly buoyant, venom-spiked throwback analogue pop of ‘Girl’ and quickly moving into darker territory with the floating, evocative synth expanses of ‘I Want To Live‘ and overdriven, clangorous noise-pop of ‘King Of Wands’, Gray Things demonstrates that far from the notion of indistinct middle ground, his grey is one of a spellbinding, hypnotic meeting point between light and dark.
