Uma Thurman honoured for acting career
Bel Ami star Uma Thurman has been for her acting career at this year’s Elle’s glamorous Women In Hollywood gala.
The 42-year-old actress was presented her award by her co-star Robert Pattinson.
Pattinson, who has rekindled his romance with Kristen Stewart, admitted he was terrified of going on stage to present Uma with her award.
He praised the actress, saying: “(Working with Uma was) a pretty crazy experience. Her role was someone more intelligent, more charming, wittier and better in bed than me.”
Recalling when Uma first walked on set, Robert said: “The co-directors s**t their pants and I did a little bit, as well.”
To which Uma replied: “Rob, you’re a real gentleman on and off the screen.”
Other who were also honoured at the annual event included Cate Blanchett, Elle Fanning, Emma Watson, Kristen Wiig, Octavia Spencer, Sarah Jessica Parker, Shirley MacLaine and Susan Sarandon.
