Shailene Woodley to play Mary Jane in The Amazing Spider-Man 2?
Shailene Woodley is rumoured to be in talks to play Mary Jane Watson in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The 20-year-old actress is said to be the studios favourite to take on the role as Spider-Man’s love interest, reports Variety.
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone have been confirmed to reprise their roles, with Marc Webb also returning back behind the camera for the action superhero sequel.
Columbia president Doug Belgrad said: “We could not be more confident in the direction we are taking this new Spider-Man storyline, and we are tremendously excited to be ramping up production again with Marc at the helm and Andrew continuing on as Peter Parker.”
Production is set to begin in early 2013, for a release in May 2014.
