Samuel L. Jackson not in Iron Man 3
Samuel L Jackson has ruled out a return to Iron Man 3.
The 63-year-old actor – who appeared in Iron Man 1 and 2 – told Total Film that his character, Nick Fury, will not be in the next film.
“I think my next time as Nick Fury is in Captain America: The Winter Soldier because I’m not in Iron Man 3.”
Adding, “None of the Avengers are in Iron Man 3. It’s a standalone Iron Man movie.”
Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle will reprise their roles in Iron Man 3 alongside newcomers Ben Kingsley and Guy Pearce.
Shane Black is set to direct while Jon Favreau, who directed the first two films, serves as executive producer, along with Kevin Feige.
The superhero film is scheduled for a April 2013 release.
