Nicolas Cage is set to star in new revenge thriller Tokarev, reports Deadline

The actor has singed up to play Paul Maguire – a reformed criminal trying to find his daughter’s kidnappers who is forced to return to his law-bending ways.

Behind the camera will be Spanish film maker Paco Cabeza, making it his US directorial debut.

Production will start in May, 2013 in Spokane, Washington. Jim Agnew and Sean Keller, who previously partnered on 2009′s “Giallo,” wrote the screenplay.

A released date for Tokarev is yet to be announced.
