Jurassic Park 4 Officially Announced
The fourth entry in the blockbuster franchise is set for release in 3D on June 13 2014.
Having spent years in development hell, Universal Studios finally announced their plans to revive Jurassic Park. No details on the story have been revealed and it’s not known if this will be a sequel to the existing films or a reboot.
Steven Spielberg helmed the first two movies but he won’t be returning for the new one. Thankfully he’s still involved and will produce the latest film alongside his regular collaborator Frank Marshall. No director has been named as of yet, but with a release date just 18 months away we’ll surely find out soon who’s in the running.
Jurassic Park 3 director Joe Johnston’s name has already been mentioned by some fans, but given the lacklustre response to his take on the series Universal will likely bring in somebody new.
Summer 2014 is already set for big things with Transformers 4, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, X Men: Days of Future Past and The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug all contending for box office glory.
The original (and best) Jurassic Park is back on our cinemas later this year in 3D to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
