Dumb and Dumber sequel title released

The Farrelly Brothers have confirmed the movie will be going ahead in 2013.

Although it was announced last month that Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey would not be appearing in a sequel to Dumb and Dumber, it looks like the project could be on once again with the official title of the sequel being announced.

The film, which would be called Dumb and Dumber To, has been confirmed by the Farrelly Brothers via their Twitter account. They wrote, “You also might be interested to know that we are almost done with the Dumb and Dumber To (sic) script, I think you’re going to like it.”

Both original actors are once again said to be on board with the movie, which will try to eradicate the memory of the god-awful Dum and Dumerer: When Harry Met Lloyd, which had no involvement from any of the original cast and crew.

The sequel is set to start filming in Spring 2013 to coincide with the commitments of Jeff Daniels on his HBO drama The Newsroom.
