Robert Pattinson says he is too old for any more Twilight films
Robert Pattinson Robert Pattinson has revealed that he may be too old to take on the role of Edward Cullen again should writer Stephenie Meyer ever write a fifth Twilight novel.
The actor appeared at the Berlin film festival to promote his new film Bel Ami, and was quickly mobbed by 101 screaming girls eager for a glimpse of their favourite A-list celebrity.
In his new film Pattinson appears as a former soldier who uses his seductive ways to climb the Parisian social ladder, a bit of a change from his best-known role as Edward in the Twilight films.
He told reporters, "I'd be curious what Stephenie would write, but I just think I'd probably be too old. I'm already too old. But yeah, it'd be kind of interesting."
Pattinson hoped in his new film to be able to ditch some people's image of him after his Twilight role, but he also expected to have a faithful following of fans who would go to see the film purely based on the fact that he stars in it.
In that at least he was certainly correct.
