Dark Knight Rises producer: "Bane is more than a match for Batman"
Tom Hardy Dark Knight Rises producer Emma Thomas has revealed that lead bad guy Bane is more than a match for the superhero in the new film.
The producer, who is also married to director Chris Nolan, revealed in Total Film that the character will live up to his comic book promise thanks to an “intense performance” from Tom Hardy in the role.
Talking to the movie magazine, Thomas said, “Tom made a massive physical transformation for the role... It really is an intense performance. He finally feels like a match for Batman - both physically and mentally. Christian Bale (Batman) and Tom Hardy are both such fiercely committed actors that pitching them as adversaries works incredibly well - they have such a great chemistry on camera."
In another rare snippet of info about the movie, Thomas also said of Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman, "It's completely new, and it's a really interesting role. You never quite know where you are with her."
