Kenneth Branagh looking forward to Thor 2
Kenneth Branagh Kenneth Branagh is keen to see Thor 2 despite Alan Taylor taking over directing duties.
Branagh had previously said he'd like to work on the sequel but had too many commitments to direct the movie.
He said: "It was a timing issue. I was ready to commit to a few things that I had been involved with for some time - The Painkiller, a play I did in Belfast, and another series of Wallander for the BBC, and I wasn't able to do everything. And so I went back to things I had previously been connected with."
The actor and director recently won the Supporting Actor of the Year gong at the London Film Critcs' Circle awards for his role as Laurence Olivier in My Week With Marilyn.
And Branagh is due to return to TV screens in March with the third series of police drama Wallander.
Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston return as Thor and villain Loki for the sequel, with both actors also starring in The Avengers later this year.
Thor 2 is due to be released in November 2013.
