Batman: Dark Knight Rises tickets sell out six months before release
Batman There was some kind of belief that new Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, is one of the most anticipated movies of the summer, but other than a multimillion people downloading the trailer from iTunes, where is the proof?
How about tickets going on sale six months before the opening date of the film and selling out within no time at all?
Yes, tickets for midnight showings of the film on the night of July 19th in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles sold out immediately once word got out that they were on sale, with a ticket price of $17.50 for the chance to be the first to see the final film in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy.
Not only that, but some tickets began showing up on secondary sales websites including ebay for in excess of $100 each.
The early sales add to the hype surrounding the film, which began with a teaser campaign late last year similar to that surrounding previous film in the series, The Dark Knight.
