Alice Eve 'lucky' with Star Trek 2 casting
Alice Eve The English actress – who played Erin in 2010 hit Sex and the City 2 – still doesn’t know which character she will play in the JJ Abrams-directed sequel to the 2009 blockbuster.
However, the Londoner considers it a “great pleasure” to even be cast in the much-anticipated film, which began shooting today.
The 29-year-old spoke to MTV News about her good fortune film, saying: “I feel incredibly lucky. I would say it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It’s not once-in-a-lifetime, but it is rare.
“It’s one of life’s great pleasures to enjoy the group you work with, because we all know what it’s like when you don’t.”
The blonde bombshell should certainly feel at home on set alongside several other British actors, including Simon Pegg, former Doctor Who star Noel Clarke and Sherlock lead Benedict Cumberbatch, and can’t wait to get working as she reckons there is so much “energy” surrounding the movie.
She continued: “When there’s a group of people who you can spend time with and work with and get to know, a real good experience, it’s kind of like going back to university or something, when everyone has got the same objective.
“There’s a lot of energy, and it’s a nice thing to be a part of that group. That’s the thing that excites me most about it. Obviously, there is a huge legacy there with Star Trek and the fanatics, so hopefully they’ll be satisfied.”
The second film – which is slated for release some time in may of next year – in the revitalised series will see Chris Pine return as Captain James T Kirk and Zachary Quinto reprise his role as Vulcan Commander Spock.
