Alien images from Ridley Scott's Prometheus leak online
Ridley Scott Despite Ridley Scott’s comments that the upcoming movie Prometheus is not a prequel to Alien, the evidence to the contrary is growing by the bucketload. Ok, Ridley, we get it. It is a stand alone film that can be watched without any prior knowledge of the world of Alien. But let’s face it. This is, and always will be the Alien prequel it was first said to be. Even the trailer features the same title style for god sake.
Anyway, along with the information already released, there has now been a leaked image of a mask bearing a striking resemblance to the Space Jockey from the 1979 original Alien. .
So, still saying it is not a prequel, Ridley? Apparently not it seems as he spoke to MTV about the lack of CGI usage in the film.
“I have to redesign the elements that led to the thing you finally see in Alien, which is the face hugger…I don’t want to repeat it. The alien in a sense as a shape is worn out..maybe we’ll come up with something different. What we’re trying to do is squeeze in two prequels…if you explain who he was and where he came from then you want to find out where they came from and you might was to go to this place where his people come from. “
Finally, he has acknowledged Prometheus is a prequel. Halleluiah
