Richard Schiff joins Man of Steel
Richard Schiff The 56-year-old – who is probably best known for starring as Toby Ziegler on NBC television drama The West Wing – is being lined up to portray Dr Hamilton in the Warner Bros Pictures film.
He will be joined by the likes of British actor Henry Cavill, who will play Superman and journalist Clark Kent, and actress/singer Amy Adams as the superhero’s love interest Lois Lane.
Entertainment industry newspaper Variety reports that Schiff’s character will most likely be the scientific advisor to Superman, while noting that the doctor also worked closely with supervillain and Superman’s nemesis Lex Luthor in the original graphic novels.
In those stories, Luthor angered the doc after buying several pieces of his research before claiming it as his own.
