Emma Stone to play novice drug dealer
Emma Stone The star of 2011 drama film The Help secured a lead role in the forthcoming comedy movie, which tells the story of a broke brother and sister who journey to Miami in an attempt to sell the bag of cocaine they discover in their late father’s car.
So far no other cast details have been made available, while GK Films are presently trying to locate a director to interpret the script penned by 30 Minutes or Less writer Michael Diliberti.
Meanwhile, Stone – who will also be appearing in Gangster Squad, The Amazing Spider-Man and Movie 43 this year – has confessed that she prefers acting in comedies ahead of dramas after bonding with her father while watching movies such as Animal House as a youngster.
The 23-year-old, who starred in horror-comedy Zombieland back in 2009, said: “I think I was drawn to comedy originally because, when I was really young, by the time I was eight I had seen movies like The Jerk, Animal House and Planes, Trains and Automobiles with my dad, and I knew them by heart.
“I loved them and my dad loved them, and we would laugh together, and I would think, ‘This is love’. I just wanted to make people feel like that.”
