Lily Collins signs onto Evil Dead remake
Lily Collins It has been on the cards for some time, and although many fans will still claim that nothing can top the original, the remake of Sam Raimi’s classic video nasty, The Evil Dead, finally has started casting, with Lily Collins signing up to star.
The original film was created on a mega-low budget by Raimi, with Bruce Campbell starring in the lead role in it and it’s two sequels. The new version will have a considerably increased amount of cash pumped into it, and to boot Raimi and Campbell will produce on the remake. At least that is something that should stop the film being a let down.
The story, written by the film’s director Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues, follows a similar tale of both The Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2, with a group of friends discovering the Book of The Dead in a cabin in the woods, which unleashes an evil force that possess each of them in turn.
We can only hope for some kind of cameo from Campbell. It would be rude not to.
