Christopher Nolan has made audio changes to 'The Dark Knight Rises' trailer.

Fears had been voiced that people could not understand character Bane - played by Tom Hardy - in the originally-released preview, and although director Christopher was reportedly initially reluctant to make edits, a new audio-file has now been sent to IMAX cinemas.

A source told Collider.com: "A friend of mine who is an IMAX projectionist told me they received a new soundtrack for the 'Dark Knight Rises' prologue.

"He said it's now a combo soundtrack with 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol', but the cool thing about it is they've cleaned up the dialogue.

"They've gone in and lowered the background noise of the plane and other things, thus making Bane's dialogue clearer and more understandable."

The movie will be Christopher's third and final work on the Batman franchise, and features Christian Bale as the titular hero and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.

Despite the character of Catwoman featuring a number of times in previous Batman films, Anne admits she has not had to take on board how previous actresses have played her.

She said recently: "What's come before doesn't limit or even affect this new version. It doesn't affect me because each Catwoman - and this is true in the comics as well - she is defined by the context of the Gotham City created around her.

"Catwoman is so influenced by Gotham and whoever is creating Gotham at the time. Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman was informed by Tim Burton's Gotham and Eartha Kitt was informed by Adam West's Gotham. You have to live in whatever the reality of the world is and whatever Gotham is."
