It’s not a great sign when a star calls one of his own films “the worst experience of my career”.

David Cross has played record executive Ian Hawke in all three Alvin and The Chipmunk movies, and despite defending previous instalments of the series he had said that filming Chipwrecked – the latest film – he found himself very frustrated.

“The last film was the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had in my professional life,” he told Indie Wire. “It’s safe to say I won’t be working with some of those people ever again. Not the actors or director. They were great.”

Ah, so he’s not saying that the film is a pile of pants then. OK, well if he won’t then I will. Alvin and The Chipmunks : Chipwrecked is great if you are four years old or just want a good nap. Go see it now.
