Nick Frost hoping Cornetto trilogy will be completed
Nick Frost Nick Frost has revealed the follow-up to Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz could start filming next year.
Frost, Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright worked together on both films and on The Adventures of Tin Tin, while Frost and Pegg also co-wrote and starred together in sci-fi comedy Paul.
The third film in the trilogy had been given a provisional title of The World's End, and Frost said he was keen to get filming.
He told comingsoon.net: "There is a draft out there, which I've read, and it's great, and I think our plan is to crack on and shoot next year. Touch wood. They move and they change but we definitely want to get on with it."
The films became known as the 'Three Flavours Cornetto' trilogy or 'Blood and Ice Cream'. A strawberry Cornetto pops up in Shaun of the Dead and a blue classic Cornetto makes an appearance in Hot Fuzz. The green mint chocolate chip flavour is rumoured to star in the third film of the trilogy.
Nick Frost also stars in Snow White and the Huntsman, due for release in June 2012, while Simon Pegg has recently promoting his latest movie Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, released in the UK on Boxing Day.
