Scarlett Johansson keen on Black Widow spin-off
Scarlett Johansson Scarlett Johansson has revealed she would be interested in making a Black Widow movie if fans wanted it.
Johansson's character appeared in Iron Man 2 and features alongside several other Marvel characters in next year's Avengers movie.
Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role as Iron Man, as does Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury with Mark Ruffalo appearing as The Incredible Hulk and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
The actress told superherohype.com: "I think she's got a very interesting past, a lot of storylines to explore, and certainly Kevin [Marvel producer Kevin Feige] loves that character.
"I think that Marvel has a very personal relationship with their fans. I think if the fans want it, and the audience wants it, nothing's impossible. Like I said, I love the character and it would be nice to see something nice and gritty."
Johansson was unsure about the Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff's involvement in Iron Man 3, which is due to start filming next year.
"I've heard nothing. You know how it goes. Sometimes two days before, it's like 'And here's your next mission.' I have no idea."
Earlier this year, Kevin Feige confirmed that Iron Man 3 would begin 'phase two of the Marvel saga' that will eventually lead to a second Avengers movie.
