Hilary Duff's $100,000 payday for NOT acting in a film

The star has pulled out of the new Bonnie and Clyde film after announcing her pregnancy, but a clause in her contract secured her the massive payout.

It’s not a bad way to make $100,000 really. After announcing her pregnancy earlier in the month, Hilary Duff managed to get a massive payout to NOT act in the upcoming The Story of Bonnie and Clyde thanks to a clause in her contract.

The Lizzie McGuire star was due to play Bonnie Parker in the upcoming movie but secured her windfall due to a “pay or play” contract.

“I don’t wanna give them any more press than they’ve gotten off me, I think my baby is a little more exciting.” She told a news source.

Well, money for nothing then. Not bad work, or lack of, if you can get it.

This is not the first change of lead for the film, as the first choice of Kevin Zegers has pulled out of playing Clyde Barrow thanks to a conflict in scheduling.

The film is a remake of the original Bonnie and Clyde film starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway.
