Alexander Skarsgard Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard is 'excited' to start filming new film Battleship.
The True Blood hunk will start filming for the action-adventure movie next week in Hawaii and he cannot wait to get his teeth into it.
The film is based on the Hasbro naval combat board game, in which the naval fleet must defend their planet from aliens.
When asked what he thinks about being in a movie based on a board game, the 34-year-old told MTV News: "I don't really think about that very much.
"It is quite different from the board game, obviously."
He added: "Pete is a great guy - the director, Peter Berg - and I'm just excited to start it, I really am."
Alexander features in the movie alongside other stars including singer Rihanna, Taylor Kitsch and model Brooklyn Decker.
Battleship is scheduled for release on May 25, 2012.
