A man has been accused of having sex with his dog – who he named after a supermodel.

Armand M Pacher was arrested for allegedly making love to his Great Dane Christie Brinkley – who is named after the former American model, who was once married to musician Billy Joel – and could face up to five years in prison for bestiality.

Pacher, from Florida, was caught after confessing to his pet’s vet that their sex life was unsatisfying.

According to an arrest warrant, the 64-year-old dog lover said: “She doesn’t seem to enjoy it as much when we have sex. Maybe it’s because I haven’t been as energetic lately and that’s why she’s not enjoying it.”

Pacher’s lawyer claims his client was just joking about having sex with Christie when he was quizzed about the pooch’s general wellbeing while rescheduling eye surgery for the mutt.

However, the veterinarian claimed to have found evidence of forced sexual activity on the dog's body.
