From June 26th 2009, and each and every Friday this summer, El Divino will host Fierce Angel’s first major Ibiza residency.

Musicrooms.net has a quick chat with founder and ex Hed Kandi head man Mark Doyle about just how fierce Ibiza will get this summer.

For those who don't know, can you give us a quick insider about what Fierce Angel is all about and what we can expect this year?

Fierce Angel is about getting back to the roots of why I first fell in love with dance music. We’re a small company run by people who love what they do (me mainly!!). Our compilation Releases are all about showcasing the very best music and the club nights are about Having a bloody good time whether its 150 or 1050 people.

This year we are hoping to launch weekly residencies in Singapore & Miami and we’ve got a massive season in Ibiza about to kick off. We’re also launching our first Two artist projects with Wamdue Project & Therese and there’s some great albums On the way.

So its Fierce Angel’s first major Ibiza residency, why have you chosen El Divino as your venue?

I’ve always loved the venue from the first time I bought Hed Kandi there many many years ago ..The club is just the right size and has an amazing terrace overlooking the old town. It’s run by a great team and I’ve had some amazing nights in there..so for me it was like coming home !

Have you got any pre-parties planned, if so where?

We’ll be having pre parties at Base Bar in Ibiza town and the Up Lounge in San Antonio.

Hed Kandi is a global phenomena, can the Angel be just as Fierce?

The Angel is about being Fierce in her own space .. :-) we’re not trying to compete and I would prefer us to be a bit smaller and more focussed in all we do. We’re already a bit global with parties in Singapore, Miami Moscow, Ibiza Australia & Brazil !

Now we got a couple of personal questions we wanted to ask you...

Which are your best three clubbing cities / countries worldwide, and why?

That’s a difficult one but I’d have to say My favourite three destinations so far have been Ibiza – Just because it’s Ibiza and anything can happen! Seoul in Korea – Because the people are just so amazing an really know how to party. Tokyo in Japan – Once again because the people really know how to have a good time and it’s an amazing country.

Best gig of all time, either as a DJ / punter, and why?

Possibly playing at Womb in Tokyo it’s a club I’ve always wanted to play at and we had over 1500 people just going absolutely crazy .. Club M2 in Korea would come in a close second – you can see both parties on youtube ...and then you can judge for yourself.

Fierce Angel @ El Divino, Ibiza, from June 26th to September 4th.
