Mancunia On Sea - Sankeys ready for Ibiza move
Sankeys Obviously it's not going to replace the successful venue located in Manchester's old industrial heart. Rather the folk behind the infamous space are planning to open doors on their White Island address on May 26th.
So far all that's been confirmed is that the club will host former Privilege party Monza Ibiza, which will run on weekly Thursdays, kicking off on the date above with an international lineup featuring Germany's Butch, Argentine Barem, Spanish native Nima Gorji, and Sankeys' British resident, Greg Vickers.
After that Friday and Saturday night (27th & 28th May) continue through in fine style, as Swedish legend John Dahlback and Oliver Lang turn in appearances on the first date, followed by Manchester regulars Ellesse and OD Muzique on the second. The new venue will comprise four areas, a Basement and Boutique (like the UK equivalent), along with Spektrum (a space named after the sister club in Manchester). Of course, this being Ibiza, there's also a Terrace involved, and once opened this marks the first step on something of a quest for world domination by Sankeys, which looks to eventually run seven sites around the world, with a New York dancing destination launching this year.
