Fourth Ibiza International Music Summit announced
Ibiza Sun, sand, sea and 6am on the beach. When you think of the Balearic's most infamous clubbing destination, these things are never far from your lips.
But there's a whole other side to the Ibiza season, just like there's an underappreciated aspect to putting on the best knees up. Far from a simple case of organising a party 'and they will come', there's a lot of work involved in making those dancefloor moments so special.
If you're interested in getting to grips with promotion, club management, production or DJing then 2011's Ibiza International Music Summit may be worth the ticket price. And not least because this year will see Pepe Rosello, owner of the Space nightclub, quizzed by none other than Carl Cox and Lynn Cosgrave.
Elsewhere seminars will look at electronic scenes in Brazil and the Pacific Rim, making for a truly global reach. Things kick off on Wednesday, May 25th, with the events running from 12pm-12am. Not for the non-committed though, it should be noted that entry could set you back €290 for a full pass. Go to www.internationalmusicsummit.com for more details.
