PSB Management Don't Give Us Permission
We welcome "Good For You" to Philanthropy and moreover, we do think that it's a very catchy housy song!
KooLTURE was originally formed by brothers Jose and Maxi Tramontini from Argentina. They both started this project in early 1999 and had the chance to release their first independent album in late 2001 with ElectroMusic Records. Same year, KooLTURE also appeared on "Underground Vibes", a compilation album released by ElectroMusic Records, with their song "Shining".
In mid 2006, Eternal Sunday Records (Argentina) invited KooLTURE to be part of a promising project, a tribute to 80s electropop classics, and proposed the duo to cover Heart, an original song by Pet Shop Boys. Jointly with producer Sgoliat, José and Maxi made several versions of Heart and one of them (the most similar to the original version) was chosen to appear on this cd called Southern Waves. In December 2006 Maxi left the duo and KooLTURE became a solo project masterminded by Jose Tamontini, the very first member and mentor, with a main goal: To continue making catchy synthpop and dance music for everyone.
Soon after the split-up, Jose decided to release a promo single with remixes of Heart. In march 2007 Heart (The Remixes) was launched by Eternal Sunday Records. This beautiful single includes amazing new mixes by Sygma (Rome), Sgoliat, Lesvicon Soul, Tecnoman SF, Ladies on Mars and Alfredo Norese.
Heart (The Remixes) made the rounds in several DJ charts and radios. Popjustice chose the cd as one of their favourite releases in June 2007.KooLTURE is presently promoting his brand new single Stupid SuperStar which has been chosen by “Subsecretaría de Industrias Culturales” of Buenos AiresCity Hall and Bafim (Buenos Aires Internacional Music Conference and Festival) for a promotional compilation cd that features the best independent bands/artists from Argentina.
KooLTURE has also been working along with producer Sgoliat on a collaboration project with famous Argentine rock star Celeste Carballo who is promoting her forthcoming live album of tangos. And as a part of it KooLTURE and Sgoliat remixed her version of "Preludio Para El Año 3001", song written by well-known composer Astor Piazzola, the man who changed tango. The mixes demonstrate a beautiful rendition that can be used to practice home relaxing or dance at the disco.
Since the words "Pet Shop Boys" are mentioned in "Fanatic Boy", an original song by KooLTURE and no official permission was given to us by the British duo (and/or their management) to have their name mentioned in the track yet.
We don't want to go through future headaches and/or unpleasant subjects/deals.We have decided to remove "Fanatic Boy" from the project and replace it by "Good For You", one of the latest productions by KooLTURE.
We welcome "Good For You" to Philanthropy and moreover, we do think that it's a very catchy housy song!
Also the song "How cool...Pet Shop Boys" has been removed for our security.
