Funkerman Announces North American Tour
Funkerman When you're a performer of Funkerman's calibre, not to share your talent with the world could perhaps be construed as a little... selfish. And so, it is with great regret and a heavy heart that one of our favourite and most respected DJs begins to pack his bags and bids us farewell for a tour that takes in Canada, San Francisco, Orlando and Miami, Florida. But there is one problem! After Funkerman’s gigs in the Ukraine and Russia last weekend somebody has robbed him of his CD directory. How dramatic is this? Just before you need to pack your suitcase and fly to the states. So there is no other alternative for Funkerman than to create a complete new CD directory.
...But after this tragic incident. He can't wait to leave and play his new burned tunes!
Wending his away across the North American continent, taking in the sights and sounds (and sharing plenty of sounds of his own), Funkerman's excursion across the pond will give the lovely folks over there the perfect chance to hear some of his new material. New album House for All is due for release in April.
He'll also be stopping to show off his new tunes at Miami's Winter Music Conference. The WMC is a high point of the music calendar for those in the know as well as an optimum opportunity for artists to reconnect, share ideas and talk about their business. Attracting thousands of DJs and artists and many more delegates from across the industry, this huge 5 day event is a key opportunity for networking and promotion as well a truly fantastic party event.
The tour finishes on a massive high with a spot at the Ultra Music Festival. Billed as the world's premiere electronic music festival, the event has won Best Music Event at the International Dance Music awards a staggering 4 times and is nominated again in 2010. Funkerman takes to the stage on Saturday 27th of March on the Day Glow Stage for a set that promises to reflect the huge standing of the event.
