David Guetta David Guetta has revealed that he is planning “a new sound” for his next album inspired by the Kings Of Leon and Coldplay.
Guetta, 42, said he was disappointed that his recent set at 4 Music clashed with the US rock band's headlining slot at the V Festival.
He told UK newspaper the Daily Star: "I might make dance music, but that doesn't mean I'm not influenced by bands like Kings Of Leon and Coldplay.
"I'm such a fan of the Kings and would've loved to have seen their performance. Right now, I'm planning coming back with a new sound for my next album due out in summer 2011."
Guetta's set saw him remix Jason Derulo's track Whatcha Say and Robyn S's 1990s classic Show Me Love.
