Pendulum have promised a "raw and aggressive" sound on their next album.

The Australian drum and bass group admit their latest single 'Witchcraft' - which showcases a more melodic sound for the band - is not a sign of things to come for them.

Bassist Gareth McGrillen said: "We've started to discuss the next album. Maybe we'll do something raw and aggressive, go back to our roots."

Before they can enter the recording studio, the 'Watercolour' hitmakers - whose most recent album 'Immersion' was released in May - have a number of UK shows lined up, including supporting The Prodigy at Milton Keynes Bowl tomorrow (24.07.10), a show the band are honoured to be part of.

Gareth told the Daily Star newspaper: "It's a pleasure to be doing a gig with The Prodigy, our brothers. It's a pivotal moment for them too, as it's the biggest gig they've ever played by themselves. To be involved is special."

The band will also perform at the Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth, Hertfordshire, East England, at the end of this month, where they are hoping to tackle a famous track by 80s Swedish rock band Europe.

The bassist explained: "We really want to have a go at 'The Final Countdown' by Europe. I think it would be hilarious. They're going to be playing Sonisphere with us, so hopefully they'll like that."
