Rihanna excited about unveiling debut collection this weekend
Rihanna is hoping to attract “fashion gods” this coming weekend as her collection for River Island is showcased at London Fashion Week.
The saucy singer will present the Spring/Summer 2013 collection with a catwalk show on February 16.
An over excited Rihanna took to Twitter and told fans: “My first fashion show!!! My designs will walk the catwalks of London Fashion Week in days!! It’s gonna be MAJAH! #RihannaForRiverIsland.”
She added: “Fashion gods will be in the building!! #FRONTROWLIFE #YouCantSitWithUs #RihannaForRiverIsland Can’t wait for you to see it!!!”
RiRI’s new collection is to hit stores on March 5 but Saturday’s show will give fans an idea of what she has to offer.
Announcing the collaboration last month, Rihanna released a statement saying, “Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me. I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege.
“I can’t wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press!”
Rihanna for River Island will also be available in Opening Ceremony stores in the United States and Japan.
