Paul O’Grady launching legal action against Coronation Street musical
The star is claiming that the production company owe pay to the cast.
Paul O’Grady has launched legal action against the production team behind the Coronation Street musical which has been a bit of a fiasco.
The Street of Dreams musical which stars street regular William Roach and Kym Marsh among others has been hit by many problems in its short time in production.
The Stage have now reported that O-Grady, who was to play the narrator until he was sacked for not sticking to the script, has launched the action as the actors have not been paid and have lost out on thousands due to the mess that the show has become.
The show was postponed to have the script rewritten which meant three dates had to be cancelled.
O’ Grady’s management team have now entered winding up proceedings to try and seal a court order to make Reckless Entertainment pay the cast for the lost shows.
The case will be heard at the end of October in the Companies Court.
