Milla Jovovich “relates” to her ‘Resident Evil’ alter-ego
Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich says she “relates” to her on screen character.
The 36-year-old star finds it easy to compare herself to Alice, the gun-toting protagonist of the film franchise, because her character is a mother, which is what the brunette beauty “likes most” about the movie series.
She said: “I think women here in the US maybe feel like she’s dressed sexy and with a gun and that’s just so obvious. The thing I’ve always liked most about ‘Resident Evil’ is the fact that Alice is a mother and, apart from the chaos and the violence and the bloodbath, the essence of the story is about a woman trying to save a child, which everybody can relate to – especially women.”
Milla also sees a number of Alice’s personality traits in herself, such as her alter-ego’s ability to promise herself that is going to get a job done and then seeing that pledge through.
She added: “I relate to Alice in the sense that she keeps her promises. When she says she’s going to do something she does it. I’m also a very loyal person.”
