Martine McCutcheon declared bankrupt
The former Eastenders star filed for bankruptcy at Kingston-Upon-Thames County Court.
Credit Today reports that the thirty six year old actress; real name Martine Kimberly Sherri Ponting, will not be discharged from her bankrupt state until 2014.
After leaving Albert Square, Martine found some success as a singer and returned to acting in the hit rom com ‘Love Actually’ as Hugh Grant’s love interest, as well as parts in TV shows such as Midsomer Murders and TV ads, Martine has also turned her hand to writing and is a published author, she has also penned two auto-biographies.
The East end born thespian was awarded the prestigious Laurence Olivier Award in 2002 for her portrayal of My Fair Lady’s Eliza Doolittle.
It looks like sadder times have come around for Martine now but she’s sure to have the support of her new hubby Jack McManus, whom she wed last year.
