Cheating scandal made Krtisten Stewart want to hide away.

Kristen Stewart ruled the headlines this year after the Twilight star was caught cheating on her boyfriend and co-star Robert Pattinson with her Snowman and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

The actress has opened up about having to deal with the bad publicity that saw her forced to issue a public apology to boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

Admitting she has made ‘mistakes’, the 22-year-old said the affair had made her want to lock herself up in her hotel room rather than face the backlash.

“If you’re honest you’ll make mistakes but that’s when the most interesting things happen. I used to just stay in my hotel room rather than deal with everything, but if you get too caught up in what others think you become a really disjointed person.”

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson split up following her affair with Rupert Sanders but rekindled their romance three months later.
