Justin Bieber’s mother couldn’t afford to eat out
The singer’s mother has revealed she had to hold down three jobs to live while the young star was growing up.
Talking to InTouch Weekly, Justin Bieber’s mother has revealed there was a time that she was so poor that she and her son could not afford to eat out and usually ended up sharing food if they did.
Pattie Mallette admitted to the magazine that she struggled to cope when the young pop star was growing up and she had to work up to three jobs in order for them to survive.
She said, “We’d go out for dinner but we could only do it if we split something to eat and ordered water. Now, when we go out to dinner Justin says, ‘Don’t worry Mom, I’ve got the cheque. Watching him every day, I’m so inspired, I’m in awe.”
Mallette was 18 herself when she fell pregnant with Bieber and was helped by her parents when she split from his father, Jeremy.
She recently said that she had made a promise to her son that she wouldn’t have a boyfriend until he was 18 in order to do the best she could for him.
