X Factor star claims the show is a fix – again
Another year, and already the claimed of show fixing have begun with Joseph Whelan claiming he was kicked out of the show to build controversy.
The audition stages of the X Factor have only just finished, and already the complaints and fixing claims have begun for this year’s glut of wannabes.
Step into the light, Joseph Whelan, the single dad who wowed at his first audition with a rendition of Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love.
Whelan has claimed that producers of the show have been looking to create controversy on the show by building him up in the early stages then booting him out at the judge’s houses stage.
‘The X Factor set me up for a fall. They shafted me by praising me so highly – then sending me home,’ he told The Sun.
‘I nailed all three of my performances and didn’t get one negative comment from the judges. So I was in complete shock when they kicked me out.’
He has claimed the show wanted to make people get worked up over his booting by making him out to be a sure thing for the live shows, hence creating publicity for the programme.
A Facebook page with over 200,000 “likes” has been set up called “Get Joseph Whelan Back on The X Factor”, and some have claimed he should have been put through instead of fellow contestant Rylan Clarke, who they claimed “can’t sing”.
Joseph is focusing now on putting a nail in the X Factor’s Christmas Number One hopes by releasing a single to vie for the top spot himself.
