French singer, Vanessa Paradis has spoken out since her relationship with Johnny Depp crumbled and admitted she does not believe in soulmates.

Vanessa has reportedly split from her partner of 14 years, Johnny Depp, and while promoting her new film 'Cafe De Flore,’ she opened up about her views on relationships.

Vanessa Paradis - who is staying in France while Johnny is living thousands of miles away in Los Angeles - reveals she does not believe that everyone has a soulmate.

She said: "Cafe De Flore speaks of love, its joys, its pains and its dramas - to love and to lose. This story upset me, I was upside-down, in the depths of myself.

"The idea of a soulmate is beautiful and very romantic to talk about it in a movie or a song, but in reality I find it scary."

The couple - who have two children together - are living separate lives after having a string of arguments.
