Miley Cyrus buys Liam a dog
Miley Cyrus The former star of Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana decided to get her man an extra-special gift, and so surprised Australian Hemsworth with a pet dog.
The 19-year-old took to microblogging website Twitter to announce her news, writing: “Got Liam THE best bday pressie ever!”
Cyrus then uploaded a photograph of the cuddly canine, which the couple have named Ziggy.
Not long after that, a fan tweeted that it had become accepted knowledge that they had named the pooch Daisy Dukes, only for Cyrus to swiftly reply with: “Liam wanted to name her that! I said NOOO WAY! Shes an angel! she loves her bro & sis too!”
Cyrus and 21-year-old Hemsworth – who made his name while appearing as Josh Taylor in Aussie soap opera Neighbours – first met back in June of 2009 while filming the drama-romance movie The Last Song and then enjoyed an 18-month relationship that came to an end in November of 2010.
However, they revived their romance in the summer of last year, with Cyrus recently describing Hemsworth – who has also starred in movie such as sci-fi/drama Knowing and horror Triangle – as the ideal boyfriend as he is a wonderful listener.
The actress/singer – whose dad is legendary country star Billy Ray Cyrus – believes having a sympathetic ear is vital to any relationship, saying: “I think it’s someone that is always there to listen and I think that’s when people make mistakes because they always want to have the answers and I don’t like people trying to fix me, I just like them being able to listen.
“But everything’s great, I’m happy and there’s nothing I can complain about. I’m performing and doing what I love and I have awesome people in my life, so nothing can really go wrong.”
