Kelly Rowland The two ex-Destiny’s Child singers visited former bandmate Beyoncé to see Blue Ivy – the couple’s first child, who was born in New York on January 7 – saying that their friend and her husband have immediately taken to becoming parents.
Williams, when talking about Blue Ivy, said: “She is absolutely gorgeous. We were all in love. Beyoncé and Jay-Z have already settled into their role of being parents, and it’s just awesome to see.”
The 31-year-old also confessed that, after seeing Blue Ivy, she had found herself becoming more than a little broody.
She added: “They might have inspired me a little bit, but this ring finger got to get a little more heavy first!”
Rowland, meanwhile, also admitted that she had been charmed by the toddler, but declined to say which of her pop star parents Blue Ivy looks most like.
The 30-year-old spoke to daily newspaper USA Today when attending the BET (Black Entertainment Television) Honors awards ceremony in Washington, saying: “That will be something that everybody will have to experience the same way I did. That’s for her parents to disclose, not myself.”
The singer-songwriter, who had been spotted buying a dazzling green babygrow with reggae legend Bob Marley’s face emblazoned on it for Blue Ivy, is also keen to babysit the child.
Rowland added: “I will babysit and change a diaper or two, and then give it back.
“I do want kids, but every time I think about a little person growing inside of me and getting bigger and bigger and then having to come out – a watermelon coming out of something the size of a lemon is insane to me.”
