Russell Brand says he's "quite well" despite Katy Perry split
Russell Brand Comedian, Russell Brand only indirectly referenced his breakup with singer, Katy Perry during a Television Critics Association event on Sunday, (15.01.12) for his upcoming FX late-night series.
Russell made his first major appearance - after splitting with the ‘Firworks’ hit maker - while discussing his show, “Strangely Uplifting.”
After Russell was asked how he was doing he replied: “Quite well, thank you.”
But the British funnyman did not end there with his response.
He asked: “Are you asking because of recent events?
“You are making the mistake of seeing time as linear. The brilliant American author Kurt Vonnegut, he’ll tell you that if you imagine reality as experienced simultaneously, events become redundant.”
Speaking about his new show - which does not look to address his split with Katy he continued: “I don’t want to further celebrate the overly elaborate, brittle plastic structures of nonsense that are constantly fired into our minds to distract us from what’s really important.”
