Former Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton's family back in touch over Christmas hoping for a reconciliation.

The Mirror reveals the 33-year-old star is back in touch with the Formula 1 driver’s family so it may not be too long before we see the pair reunite.

The X Factor USA judge kept in contact with Lewis’s parents - who still adore Nicole - over the Christmas holidays - and admitted: “I still love Lewis.”

A source told The Mirror: “Nicole is so dear to the family. They still very much see her as their ‘daughter-in-law’.

“Those close bonds don’t disappear overnight.

“They’ve been in touch over Christmas to catch up – and wish each other well.

“They’ve built such a bond with her over the years. Everyone is secretly hoping that Lewis and Nicole will give their love another go when the time is right for them."
