Frenchman gets head stuck in sewer for 8 hours

A Frenchman has spent eight hours with his head stuck in a sewer.
The man dropped his wallet down the sewer in an underground car park and in his attempts to retrieve it he slipped and got stuck.
He was trapped in the 40-centimetre wide and 1.5-metre deep space until someone using the car park found him the next morning.
When he was discovered the emergency services were called to help get him out, but the police discovered he had been siphoning off waste oil from his car into the sewer.
This offence can land someone two years in prison and a $97,000 fine.
