The Enemy: Arctic Monkeys Second Album Is Dull

The Enemy have launched an astonishing attack on the Arctic Monkeys calling their second album "dull".

The Coventry upstarts took the popshot yesterday (January 29), on a day when the Monkeys received seven NME Award nominations and scooped the best album prize at the South Bank Awards for Favourite Worst Nightmare.

Clearly not one to conform to popular opinion, Enemy frontman Tom Clarke told BBC 6 Music: "Certain aspects of their music on the second album, and certain aspects of their personas in the press, are just dull.

"I went out and bought the first album and I thought it was top - some really good songs on there. And then I was bitterly disappointed when I got the second - just dull", he added.
