Radiohead's Download Cover

Radiohead have revealed that they used fake band names to try hide new material from being leaked and uploaded for downloaders.

Among the names chosen to prevent fans from tracking down their new work, the Oxford group even went with '90s rockers Kula Shaker.

Talking about the measures undertaken to avoid album leaks, bassist Colin Greenword told NME: "It felt like a gigantic risk. Like Mission Impossible, almost. We destroyed all CDs after every day of recording.

"And on the master we'd always write a name which probably nobody would listen to if we had lost it; Eagles: Greatests Hits, Kula Shaker demos, Phil Collins hip hop covers."
