Radiohead Appalled By Box Set Release
Radiohead are not happy their old record label following the announcement that the band's first seven albums would be reissued in a boxset.
An anonymous source told website boing boing that EMI are releasing the boxset in retaliation to Radiohead choosing not to re-sign with the label and that the band were "appalled:".
The source writes: "EMI threatened (Radiohead) with re-releasing their entire catalog on the same day the discbox of In Rainbows was being sent out, December 10, unless the band gave EMI the standard physical release of the album."
EMI's rival boxset not only comes out on the same day as In Rainbows but matches the price, coming in at just under £40.
It will not be known how well the In Rainbows boxset will do as the band are keeping tight lipped on sales.
