The ageing rocker's gig at London's O2 Arena proved to be a massive hit, and has
led to a 500% increase in sales of their back catalogue, according to HMV
figures.
A HMV spokesperson explained to the NME: "This demonstrates the enduring appeal
of Led Zeppelin as the definitive rock band.
"Their music is now connecting with a whole new generation of fans, who are
discovering its brilliance for the first time."
Such was the impact of their gig that Mothership - the band's recent
compilation album - experienced a 50% sales boost on the day after the gig
outselling any other album.
