Gorillaz To Return With New LP

Damon Albarn has revealed he will be making another Gorillaz album.

Despite saying last year that the virtual group had had its day, the former Blur frontman has now said he and partner Jamie Hewlett were working on new material for the follow-up to 2005’s Demon Days.

He told the Daily Star: "We’re doing another Gorillaz record. We’re not entirely certain what it will be like. We generally just go with our gut instinct."

Although a release date has as yet been unconfirmed, Albarn confirmed he had musical ideas he could not express in his The Good, The Bad And The Queen and Monkey projects.

He added: "We came back from summer holidays and realised we could do exactly what we wanted to do with Gorillaz."
