Coldplay Have Doubts In Their Gig Selling Power

Coldplay don't think they would be able to sell out as many arena shows as Prince.

But frontman Chris Martin thinks the reason for this is as much to do with grooming as song-writing talent.

Chris told Absolute Radio: "He sold out 21 nights. I don't think we could. You can't do that unless you've got impeccable facial hair".

He added: "With my facial hair we could probably sell out five nights".

Prince sold out 21 nights at London's O2 Arena last year, but Chris seems more concerned about his shape, having seen himself on the giant screens the band use at big shows.

He said: "There's a little bit of fat on me. I could see on the screen. It adds love handles."
