Pete Doherty has revealed one of his bandmates worked on material with Amy Winehouse while he was in prison.

Babyshambles guitarist Mick Whitnall, occasionally snapped in tabloid photographs with Amy recently, has been working with the Back To Black singer.

Pete told the Daily Star: "Mick and Amy have a great relationship. They have been working on material while I was in prison."

He added: "It's great news really because we've been told we will be doing a third album. That will keep me busy and hopefully keep me out of trouble."

Pete first expressed an interest in working with Amy as early as November last year.

At the time he said: "I have always wanted to do a single with Amy, she is just so talented."
